Michael is currently the Program Director for Ball State University/MuncieP3
at Longfellow Elementary School in Muncie, IN. He has over 40 years of experience working with children and youth as a Youth Pastor, Day Care Director, Coach, and Mentor. Michael and his wife, DeAnna, are founders of Halal Kingdom Ministries International and the Influence Academy which helps children and youth between grades 4-8 discover their gifts, talents and true potential.

He recently served 8 years as a member of the Muncie Community School’s Board of Directors and 3 years on the BY5 Committee, an organization that works to improve opportunities for children ages 0-5 to reach their developmental potential.

Michael is a recipient of the 1994 recipient of the Indiana Youth Investment Award from the Indiana Youth Institute, 2016 recipient of the Excellence in Public Service Award from Muncie-Delaware County Chamber of Commerce, 2017 recipient of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Outstanding Citizenship Award from the Dr. M. L. K. Jr. Youth Citizenship Award Committee, and the Mayor James P. Carey Community Service Award from the Dr. M. L. K. Jr. Dream Team.
